Polarizing Beamsplitter Cubes
Cube polarizing beamsplitters have a polarizing film coated on the internal face of the cube, reflecting the s-polarized component at 90° and transmitting the p-polarized component. Cubes are optimized for popular laser wavelengths from the UV to the near IR and are made of BK7 or UV fused silica, cemented for general use or optically contacted for high power applications. Typical variants differ in size, wavelength, extinction ratio and anti-reflection coated outer faces, supplied unmounted or in M2P/M2Ps mounts.
