Wedge Prisms

Wedge prisms steer a beam in optical systems by creating a precise beam deviation without affecting other beam parameters. Used in pairs with sloping surfaces in close proximity, counter-rotating wedges produce a continuous variation of beam deviation. Wedges are made of BK7 or UV fused silica in standard and precision grades, in different shapes, sizes and wedge angles, uncoated or with anti-reflection coatings.
