Dispersing Prisms
Laser dispersing prisms separate light by wavelength and are made so that entrance and exit beams pass through at the Brewster angle. Like Brewster angle windows, they can be used inside the cavity of lasers operating on very low gain transitions, where even slight reflection losses are intolerable. Prisms are made of BK7, UV fused silica and dense flint glasses such as SF11, as well as other materials like CaF2, in different side lengths and apex angles.
