Saturable absorber crystals for passive Q-switching of solid-state lasers. Covers Cr:YAG for lasers emitting at ~1 µm, Co:MALO (Co:Spinel) for lasers emitting from 1.2 to 1.6 µm including eye-safe 1.54 µm Er:glass lasers, V:YAG, and other absorbers such as Cr:ZnSe.
