Rochon Prisms

Rochon polarizing prisms are made of two birefringent α-BBO prisms cemented together: the ordinary ray is transmitted without deviation while the extraordinary ray is deflected. They are used to produce plane-polarized light, including in the ultraviolet. Prisms come in several clear apertures and separation angles, with MgF2 or AR coatings, unmounted or in black anodized aluminum mounts.
