BBO Pockels Cells

Transverse field Pockels cells based on BBO crystals, used as fast optical switches with a polarizer for Q-switching of high repetition rate DPSS lasers, regenerative amplifier control, cavity dumping and beam chopping. BBO offers minimal piezoelectric ringing, low absorption and a broad transmission range from 200 nm to 2000 nm. Double crystal designs reduce the high quarter-wave voltage; ceramic aperture versions are available.
