Aspherical Lenses
Aspherical lenses reduce spherical aberration, so that a single aspheric lens can often replace a complex multi-lens system. CNC polished precision plano-convex aspheric lenses are made of UV fused silica, N-BK7, high refractive index S-LAH64 glass or Suprasil, the latter optimized for diffraction-limited performance and high laser damage threshold. Lenses are supplied uncoated or AR coated, e.g. at 1000-1080 nm.
