Manual beam-control devices not covered by stages or positioners, mainly iris diaphragms and periscopes. Unmounted iris diaphragms (zero aperture, standard with retainer, and screwed types) and mounted iris diaphragms provide a continuously variable aperture for controlling beam size and light amount. Periscope assemblies on large or silent rods with two kinematic mirror mounts change beam height and direction.
