CLBO Nonlinear Crystals

Cesium lithium borate (CLBO) is a nonlinear crystal for harmonic generation in the UV range, with a transmission cut-off edge reaching 180 nm, larger spectral and temperature acceptance and smaller walk-off than BBO. It is used for harmonic generation (up to fifth) of Nd-doped lasers, including quadrupling of high-power Nd:YAG systems, and doubling and tripling of Alexandrite and Ti:Sapphire lasers. Being highly hygroscopic, standard crystals are supplied sealed in 1 inch housings with AR coated UV fused silica windows.
