BBO Nonlinear Crystals

Beta barium borate (BBO) is a nonlinear crystal with wide transparency, broad phase-matching range, large nonlinear coefficient and high damage threshold. It is used for NOPA, harmonic generation (up to fifth) of Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF lasers, frequency doubling and tripling of femtosecond Ti:Sapphire, Yb:KGW/KYW and dye lasers, OPO and electro-optic switching. Crystals come with AR, BBAR or P-coatings, often mounted in 1 inch ring holders, including thin crystals down to 5 µm optically contacted on UV fused silica, and femtokits for Ti:Sapphire third harmonic generation.
