AGS Nonlinear Crystals

AgGaS2 (AGS) infrared nonlinear crystals are transparent from 0.53 to 12 µm. Their short-wavelength transparency suits OPOs pumped by Nd:YAG lasers and difference frequency mixing with diode, Ti:Sapphire, Nd:YAG and IR dye lasers covering the 3–12 µm range, as well as SHG of CO2 lasers. Thin AGS plates are used for ultrashort mid-IR pulse generation by difference frequency generation of NIR pulses; crystals come with BBAR coatings, mounted in 1 inch holders.
