About Eksma Optics
Eksma Optics has manufactured precision optics in Vilnius since 1983. We make optics for defence, medical, industrial and scientific customers around the world. In 2025 the company was acquired by Zabolis Partners, and since then we have been rebuilding it around a “manufacturing as a service” model: coatings, aspheric and flat optics, optomechanics and assembly under one roof.

Why this role
We are building a digital twin of our factory: every process, every machine, every physical action. The aim is that routine decisions are made by systems, and people are left with the decisions that need a human. It is the first step towards a factory that keeps working after the lights go out.
We do not hire by diploma. We hire by how a person behaves when they do not yet know how.
What you will do
- Together with engineers and operators, describe the factory’s processes: how they actually run, not how the instructions say they run.
- Connect machine, measurement and quality data to AI tools.
- Build and maintain the digital twin, from the first process to the whole factory.
- Test, document and teach colleagues to use what you have built.
- Hand routine decisions over to systems, one at a time, safely, measuring the result.
- Be the go-between for machines, engineers and AI tools that change every month.
Who we are looking for
No IT degree needed. No data science needed. No AI experience needed. We need four things: common sense, genuine drive, passion, and the habit of going the extra mile.
Nice to have, not required: technical or manufacturing experience; AI tools already part of your daily routine; English.
