As a latest product EKSMA OPTICS introduced new BBO and KD*P electro-optical Pockels Cells. New Pockels cells are assembled at the company and feature robust, compact design. Crystals used for Pockels cells are carefully selected for high contrast ratio and tested at Quality Control laboratory. Electro-optical crystals are installed in to dry cells and AR coated with high damage threshold dielectric thin film coatings. KD*P Pockels cells are primary choice for low repetition rate high pulse energy lasers whereas BBO cells are the first choice for high power DPSS lasers operating at multi kHz rates. Typical applications are Q-switching, pulse selection, CW beam chopping, laser cavity dumping and coupling light into and from regenerative amplifiers.
